2005-17 Head Baseball Coach Norman North

​Head Baseball Coach Brian Aylor took over the Norman North Baseball Program in 2005. Since then he has led the Timberwolves to 5 Regional Championships in 2006, 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016. Norman North has also been Conference Champions 3 times. They were the 2013 and 2014 District 6A 2 Champions as well as the 2013 State Runner up. His philosophies and instruction have propelled the Timberwolves to one of the top Baseball programs in Oklahoma. In his 13 years as a Head Coach, he has had 13 players selected to Oklahoma Coaches Association All State. He has sent 60 players to play at the collegiate level and has had 4 players drafted by Major League Baseball. His knowledge of the game goes back to his background as a player. He spent four seasons in the New York Yankees Organization after being drafted in the 7th round in 1996. He was an all Big 8 Centerfielder at Oklahoma State University.

Brad Dolejsi

Brad Dolejsi is entering his 9th year with the Timberwolves coming from Bishop McGuinness High School. McGuinness won 2 State Championships in Baseball during his 6 years with the program and he was also awarded Oklahoma Assistant Coach of the Year. Coach Dolejsi spent 4 years coaching Division 1 Baseball at New Mexico State University and also served as the recruiting coordinator. He also spent 2 years coaching at Howard junior College before making the move to New Mexico State. While at New Mexico State, Coach Dolejsi earned his Master’s Degree in Education. Coach Dolejsi was an All Big 8 Outfielder in 1991 at Oklahoma State University where he had the privilege of playing under Gary Ward. Coach Dolejsi was also a finalist for the Gatorade High School Player of the Year in 1987.

Stephen Kohlscheen

Stephen Kohlscheen attended Norman North. The Florida Marlins selected him in the 43rd round of the 2007 MLB Draft, but he opted not to sign. He enrolled at Cowley County Community College and was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 30th round of the 2009 MLB Draft. Again, he chose not to sign. He transferred to Auburn University to play for the Auburn Tigers baseball team. He was drafted in the 45th round of the 2010 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners, and he chose to sign. On July 31, 2014, the Mariners traded Kohlscheen to the San Diego Padres for The Padres. He has been invited to Big League Camp for the Milwaukee Brewers for the upcoming 2017 Season. He is the only player in Norman North Baseball History to make it all the way to AAA.

Caleb Simpson

Caleb Simpson is a former Norman North baseball player. Graduated from Norman North in 2011 where he was a 3 year starter. Caleb is a former All-State, All-conference, and All-city catcher. He was twice the defensive player of the year for Norman North. In 2010, Caleb helped lead Norman North to a State tournament and also helped lead the team to a conference championship in 2011. During his senior year he was selected to play in the Area Code Games, the top high school showcase played in Long Beach, California where he represented the Mid-West. Caleb signed a scholarship to play college baseball at Seminole State Junior College where he was a two year starter. Caleb was a top 200 Junior College baseball player in the United States. In September of his sophomore year he signed a scholarship to play baseball at the University of Oklahoma. During the 2013 June Major League Baseball draft, Caleb was selected in the 21st round by the San Francisco Giants. Caleb is now a pitcher for the Giants in the minor leagues. In 2013 he helped lead the AZL Giants to a championship.

SAVE THE DATE – Spring Training Camps
Our 13th Annual Academy and Spring Training program will start in February. We will have two sessions, one for Current 6-8th Graders at Whittier and Longfellow on Wednesdays. Then a separate program for ages 8 and up on Sundays. This is a comprehensive 8 week program covering hitting, defense, throwing and Baserunning.
